The Dancer 3.0 is a model designed for the demanding pilot who is willing to invest the effort in construction, brings the necessary precision and building experience, and wants to push the model’s performance and durability to its limits during flight.
The model's design focuses on good thermal response as well as outstanding glide performance. The result is an all-round model with very good flight characteristics and handling.
Thanks to the sophisticated plywood construction with a D-box and the oversized spar, the model achieves a strength that meets everyday demands. Due to its "solid" construction, it weighs around 1,800g, which was not intended to be lightweight. Nevertheless, it responds very well to thermals and can be finely adjusted to lift conditions with its 4-flap wing. With the available flap settings, very tight circling is possible.
It demands to be flown. Especially when circling, it should not be "starved" to unleash its full performance.
The butterfly landing configuration allows for very steep approaches. It enables landings even on small landing areas at walking speed. In the speed setting, the Dancer gains speed quickly without losing much altitude, making rapid position changes from one thermal bubble to the next possible. Quick overflights from 100m altitude or aerobatic maneuvers are no challenge for the Dancer. With the control throws from the manual, it responds crisply but not erratically to control inputs, willingly making every direction change.
The wing is three-piece, the horizontal stabilizer is removable, and all servo connections are automatically made. Possible motorization ranges from a 28mm direct drive to a geared drive with corresponding power.
The Dancer is delivered as a complete kit. All small parts required for assembling the model are included in the kit, except for servos, covering film, and the drive set.
