Judge distance bolt adjustable for combustion engines from 30ccm to 200ccm
With this engine mounting system, every model maker is able to individually adapt combustion engines from 30-200 ccm to his model without having access to metalworking machines. With this system it is possible to infinitely adjust the distance from bonnet to spinner back without any problems. It is also possible to adjust the engine train on the airfield without any problems. Simply remove the bonnet, loosen the engine mounting, readjust the bolts to the desired size, tighten, assemble, continue flying. The flange with internal thread has a diameter of 22mm. The bearing disc has a diameter of 16mm on the motor flange.
The spacer bolts are designed so that you can continuously bridge all dimensions from the head bulkhead to the rear edge of the motor flange from 20 to 55mm. This is achieved by the fact that the bolts are equipped with a continuous thread of M16x1. The thread is spaced by a 1.5mm undercut so that any model maker can simply saw the part to the desired length with a metal saw. Make sure that the thread attachments are not damaged. The waste piece should also be clamped in the vice during sawing so that the thread is not damaged by the useful part. Please note that the thread must be screwed into the flange part at least until the next recess in order to achieve high strength. Furthermore, the end face of the bolt is turned out with a spherical flat surface. A small disc with a spherical surface is inserted into it, so that the resulting wedge-shaped openings are continuously bridged in all directions of up to about 4° with infinitely variable settings of the side pull and motor lintel. The holes in the parts are designed for M5 screws. However, it is possible to drill out the parts for M6 screws without any problems. It is important that with larger adjustment angles the screws in the motor flange are not braced. Otherwise the motor may be damaged. If necessary, the holes in the motor flange may have to be reworked.
