The iGyro is a completely new 3-axis gyro system for surface models. During the development and implementation, maximum versatility and yet simple, menu-driven and user-friendly operation were taken into account.
In particular, we point out that the control behavior of your model, which you are familiar with, hardly changes due to a control algorithm developed especially for surface models. This is especially important in order not to have the impression that the gyro controls your model. However, the flight becomes much quieter, more exact and less sensitive to negative weather-related and aerodynamic influences. Landing approaches in windy weather will be much safer.
The iGyro works with all remote control systems that have a serial, digital output. Spectrum DSM2 and DSM X, Futaba S-Bus, Multiplex M-Link, Graupner HoTT and Jeti offer this feature. The combination with PowerBox Cockpit SRS and PowerBox Competition SRS is especially easy because here the iGyro is only installed with 2 patch cables between receiver and battery crossover.
For the first time in the world, a 3-axis gyro is supported by a GPS sensor. The GPS sensor determines the respective flight speed in each flight situation. The iGyro uses this information to optimally adjust the gyroscopic effect in all speed ranges. This effectively prevents oversteering or swinging of the model at high speed, but at the same time achieves optimal control of wind gusts during slow landing.
