The manned original aircraft S.E.5 (Scout Experimental 5) was developed by Henry P. Folland, J. Kenworthy, and Major F.W. Goodden at the Royal Aircraft Factory in Farnborough for the installation of the new 150hp Hispano-Suiza 8a V8 engine. The first prototype flew on November 28, 1916. In the model implementation, great care was taken to achieve a faithful appearance and excellent flying characteristics. Beautiful scale details perfectly round off the overall picture of this fantastic model aircraft. Furthermore, the model has trunk-friendly dimensions.
