The Grunau Baby was developed in 1932 as an improvement on the ESG 31 Stanavo developed by Edmund Schneider and Wolf Hirth. Soon it became the most popular training glider and many pilots flew their silver C on this model. The glider was further developed over the years up to the series III, but the type II b was the most common. This series was therefore also used as a model for our scale models. The model was executed exactly in scale 1:6 or (depending on the construction kit) scale 1:4 . Changes to the outer shape have been consistently omitted, so that rib spacings, end strips and planking are also consistent with the model. The wing is scattered like the original. Due to the angular shape of the fuselage, the construction of the model is not as difficult as a Minimoa, for example, but experience in balsa wood is mandatory.
The product GRUNAU BABY 1:4 BAUSATZ from KRICK in the category Glider Models has a wingspan of 3392 and a weight of 2200. The model is controlled via the functions H,S,Q,(LK)*. The Model is Wood .
