Our completely new "Habicht", which is constructed in CAD and manufactured in CNC laser technology, is the ideal entry model for model aircraft. The experienced model builder will also be pleased with this. The construction of the model is deliberately kept very simple and is therefore easy for the inexperienced model builder to build. All components are laser-cut with high precision. The building instructions with numerous pictures guide you through the building process.
The model is controlled by elevator and rudder, in the electric version also with motor control. The wing profile was developed from the profiles of modern high-performance models and gives the "goshawk" a high glide performance with low sink. The model also penetrates well against strong winds. The V-shape of the wing has been reduced to give the model excellent manoeuvrability, while maintaining high inherent stability.
The fuselage is made of a few plywood and balsa parts. It is very robust and forgives even hard landings. The canopy is removed via a magnetic catch, so that there is a comfortable access to the flight battery (electric version) and the internals. The wing is secured with rubber bands. It is a light rib construction, which is planked in the nose area on the surface. The tail units are assembled from laser-cut individual parts.
To finish the model, you only need glue and a little bit of tools (knives, pins, sandpaper, flat pliers and scissors) and only the stirrup film for covering.
The RC equipment of the sailboat requires a receiver battery with approx. 1,000 mAh and switch, the receiver with 2-4 channels as well as two servos with 13 mm width. The electric version is powered by lightweight motors with a diameter of 26 or 28 mm, a suitable BEC controller and a 3s-LiPo with approx. 1,300 mAh - a very inexpensive drive combination.
Thanks to the split wing, the model can be easily transported in a backpack, on a bicycle or in small cars. The glider can also be started on the slope with the rubber rope in the plane. Even the electric version is in no way inferior to the glider in terms of gliding characteristics.
The product HABICHT BAUSATZ from KRICK in the category Glider Models has a wingspan of 1680 and a weight of 430-460. The model is controlled via the functions H,S,M*. The Model is Wood .
