Skyraider is not necessarily a scale-like model, but rather a "scale-like" model, ie this is what a manned aircraft could look like. This gave us the freedom to optimally match the shape, proportions and dimensions to the drive unit. The result is definitely something to be proud of - the model flies just as well as it looks. It has amazing flight characteristics - from almost walking pace to approx. 70 km/h. Fully aerobatic, incl. cunning figures, nevertheless completely uncritical, easy to fly. An RC pilot with some experience with aileron control can easily control the model. We consider the requirement of a fairly fast-flying model with this type of drive to be fully met. With this model size, we decided not to disassemble the fuselage - this gained weight and space in the fuselage. Access to the fuselage through the large canopy is quite generous so there are no issues with the build. The structure is based on the GfK fuselage, two-piece wing in rib construction, stabilizers in the usual balsa construction.
