The SPORTY is an easy-to-build aileron trainer model with excellent slow-flight characteristics. The wings are simply assembled on a building board. The agile model is controlled via elevator, ailerons, and rudder. Additionally, the model can be equipped with flaps.

The wing is designed in two parts and is assembled before being mounted on the fuselage.

Due to its low flight speed, the Shorty is very well suited for learning to fly with an electric model. The very detailed construction manual, complete with 3D assembly drawings, guides you through the entire build process. The kit includes covering paper for the wings and tail, and the manual also features an extensive video tutorial explaining the covering process.

An optional tow coupling can be installed, and the parts for it are already included in the kit. Only an additional servo AN-12-MGBBA is needed. The tow coupling allows smaller gliders, such as the Lilienthal 40, to be towed to launch height. It is an optimal trainer for anyone looking to learn how to tow larger aircraft.

A suitable drive set is offered for the SPORTY model under the number 1367/01 (includes motor, controller, propeller, adapter, and 4 servos with servo extension cables).

If the optional flaps are to be installed, an additional 2 servos 7003/74 and 1 pair of servo extension cables 7457/60 will be required.

For winter fun in the snow, the ski set with order number 1366/02 is available.
