ARF Fertigmodell nach Originalbauplänen des Konstrukteurs Dipl. Ing. Wilfried Klinger. The Charly ARF was optimized for modern electric propulsion and convinces by fantastic flight characteristics. The model is voll kunstflugfähig and to fly over a wide speed range without criticism.
The question was, can you get the Kultmodell Charly and improve it even further? The clear answer: Yes, you can.
Thanks to modern manufacturing methods such as laser cutting of components and selected, light materials. A modern brushless electric drive also contributes to enormous weight savings. The take-off weight could therefore be reduced by about 1000g (you read correctly: 1 kilogram). The wide bonnet provides a slight braking effect for downhill figures today as it did back in aerobatics and thus for a smooth and even flight image.
The Charly ARF flies very well with a 3-cell LiPo battery (capacity 3500-4500mAh recommended) through all aerobatic figures. Particularly performance-hungry pilots can also use a 4-cell LiPo battery (14.8V) on request. The Charly ARF is then overpowered and rises vertically at about half throttle.
