A fully assembled semi-scale model of the Czech-Italian adventure touring aircraft in the STOL category with a wingspan of 1600 mm, made from nearly indestructible, carbon-reinforced, extruded polyolefin foam (EPO). It includes a brushless motor C3548-800, a 10x6" three-blade propeller, a KAVAN R-50SB Plus ESC, and 6 micro servos. It controls ailerons, flaps (with connected slots), rudder, elevator, tail wheel, and motor speed. Functional LED lights. Designed for 4S LiPo 2600–3300 mAh (min. 30C).
In the second half of the 1990s, Italian designer Russo Pasquale and his team set out to develop an ultralight touring aircraft with excellent flight characteristics, short takeoff and landing, and a classic, proven design. The aircraft was intended to be both economical to operate and simple to build and maintain. They drew inspiration from the legendary Piper Cub. However, they utilized the latest computer technology and aerodynamic insights, top materials, and avionics to create the perfect machine for the 21st century.
The first Savage series aircraft were produced in Italy at the end of 1997 and the beginning of 1998. In 1999, production moved to the Czech Republic. Since then, it has been successfully continued by Zlin Aviation s.r.o., building on the long tradition of the world-renowned sport aircraft manufacturer and its experienced team.
Over 500 Savage series aircraft have already found their customers worldwide. The latest model is NORDEN, designed for Rotax® 914, 915, or 916 engines with 115/141/160 HP. NORDEN offers the possibility to install a wide range of propellers, avionics, and other custom modifications. This model allows the pilot to fulfill their dream of a touring aircraft that can take off and land anywhere at any time. It provides unbeatable flying pleasure with perfect visibility, typical of its earlier legendary model. Now you can enjoy flying with the semi-scale of this beautiful machine with a wingspan of 1600 mm, powered by a high-performance brushless motor!
The model's fuselage is made from highly durable EPO foam (extruded polyolefin) with solid internal carbon fiber reinforcements. The brushless motor C3548-800 with a 10x6-inch three-blade propeller and a KAVAN R-50SB Plus ESC with a powerful BEC stabilizer, required to power the 6 servos on board, is installed in the nose. In the nose, under the removable cover, there is ample space for the drive battery.
The wing of the model, made from EPO foam, consists of two parts with carbon fiber strips and a tubular carbon fiber connector. The wing is secured with screws. The ailerons and flaps (with connected slots on the leading edge) are controlled independently by two servos each with short straight pushrods. There are also functional position lights and LED landing lights. The easily removable composite wing struts are secured with a pair of wire clips.
The tail surfaces are also made from EPO foam. The rudder and elevator servos are mounted in the fuselage. The control surfaces are operated by short straight pushrods.
The main landing gear is a fixed duralumin gear with sprung scale struts. The tail wheel is connected to the rudder.
The model is powered by a C3548-800 class brushless motor with a 50A KAVAN R-50SB Plus ESC.
For power, you need a 4-cell LiPo pack with a capacity of 2600-3300 mAh and a minimum discharge rate of 30C. Choose a specific type to ensure the correct center of gravity with minimal additional ballast.
For controlling the model, you can also use a 6-channel computer RC set without special functions – in the basic version, the ailerons, flaps, rudder, and elevator are connected to a single channel via a connection plate in the cabin area. The plate also ensures power supply to the LED lights. Ideally, use at least a 7-channel computer RC set, which allows independent control of the ailerons and flaps by two servos each. This is also possible with affordable transmitters such as the Radiolink AT9S, AT10II, or Futaba T6K and T10J. In this case, the aileron and flap servos need to be connected separately (an additional cable set, available separately, can be used). The manual also includes a detailed table with a proven standard setting for control surface throws, so you can prepare the PC-6 for flight easily, even if it's your first model with "full wing mechanization."
