The name "Cub" has a long tradition at MULTIPLEX in the field of Elapor or lightweight foam aircraft models. It started with the PicoCub introduced in 2000, originally made of Styrofoam and conceptually designed as an entry-level model. Following that were successful models like the EasyCub, FunCub, and FUNCUB XL. Now comes the “FunCUB NG” – NG stands for “Next Generation,” and it truly is! The flight characteristics and handling have been further improved. The FunCub NG is extremely forgiving, impressively lightweight, very agile, and can also be used for towing and aerobatics. Even knife-edge flight and torque rolling are possible, thanks to the ROXXY motor that comes standard (RR) and provides sufficient power reserves. The FunCub NG is excellent for beginner training and delights both young and old alike.
New features include struts for the wings. The model can fly without struts, but for aerobatics, it is advisable to install them. With large wheels and the new landing gear, the FunCub can take off and land worry-free on almost any terrain. The internal structure of the fuselage has been completely redesigned, so the motor is now mounted via a rear wall, with power transfer from the landing gear, motor mount, and battery securing done centrally through a fiberglass square tube.
