The YAK 54 was developed with the idea of an advanced sports model aircraft in mind. It is a semi-scale aircraft that is easy to fly and quick to assemble. The construction is conventionally built from balsa and plywood to make it stronger than the average ARF model. Nevertheless, the design allows the aircraft to fly easily.
