Description "GRAUPNER MINI JET BOAT DRIVE"
The power of the water jet

The JET drive, also called water jet propulsion, is mainly used for exclusive and fast yachts, ferries, racing boats and the like. In principle, this drive consists of a pump that draws in the water through an opening at the bottom of the ship, accelerates it via an impeller and ejects it through an opening in the stern. Here Newton's law is applied, according to which the water jet ejected backwards produces a forward reaction to the hull of the boat of equal size. The boats with jet propulsion can sail in very shallow water, as all parts under the hull such as propeller, shaft, shaft and rudder are omitted. In addition, the acceleration is very high, which is particularly advantageous for dragster boats. There is also no heeling moment like with a conventional ship propeller. Since the water in a JET drive has to travel long distances in narrow channels, friction losses naturally occur which require somewhat more energy than with a conventional drive.
When the reversing device is actuated, the water jet can be deflected forward so that the ship travels backwards. For high efficiency, the engine speed must not be exceeded when reversing.
is only 1/3 to 1/2 of the maximum speed.
The model builder has many possibilities to adapt the efficiency of the drive to his own model and to improve it. Suitable for SPEED 600.r electric motors
At its own discretion, however, it is also possible to
BRUSHLESS motors can be used.

product attributes
The Mini-JET is used in the model Multi Jet Boat No.2155.V2, but can also be used for other small and medium-sized boats. It enables very precise control during both forward and reverse driving. All parts are injection moulded from plastic. The shaft made of Ø 3 mm steel is double sintered bearing and sealed on one side.
