TAMIYA X and XF acrylic paints are made from water-soluble acrylic resins and are ideal for brush painting or for application with airbrush sprayers.
These paints can be used on styrene resins, styrofoam, wood as well as all common model plastics. For better adhesion we recommend priming the respective material beforehand (TAMIYA Primer e.g. 300087044 Primer White). The paint covers well, flows smoothly and is easy to mix. Before curing, the paint can be washed away with normal water.
Caution! Not suitable for children under 14 years of age.
TAMIYA range of spray and coating colours. The acrylic paints are water-soluble and are excellently suited for brushing/spray application on wood, styrene and common model plastics. Brushes and spray guns can be easily and quickly united.
Meaning of the colour codes:
X = Acrylic coating material glossy
XF = Acrylic coating colour matt

- Colours marked "X" have a glossy finish, while those marked "XF" are matt.
- For use with airbrush sprayers (0.25 - 0.50mm depending on the nozzle used) the X-/XF colours should be thinned with TAMIYA X-20A Acrylic Thinner (300081020, 300081030 or 300081040).
- The X-/XF colours can also be thinned with TAMIYA Lacquer Thinner (300087077). This gives a faster drying result and a harder surface finish.
- By adding TAMIYA Paint Retarder (300087114) you get a smoother paint surface after drying (max. mixing ratio 1:10).
Caution! Not suitable for children under 14 years of age.
