The CARSON drive concept for TAMIYA® Trucks on a scale of 1:14
Convert your TAMIYA 2- or 3-axle TAMIYA tractor to an all-wheel drive all-rounder with our self-locking axles. The components can be easily replaced as they are mounted on the existing mounting points. A huge advantage of these axles is that no additional space is required for a shift servo (linkages and Bowden cables), as this locks automatically in the event of loss of traction. Officially licensed by ZF Friedrichshafen AG.

CARSON front axle with self-locking differential

Detailed driven front axle for TAMIYA model trucks on a scale of 1:14.
The axle is equipped with a self-locking differential and can be built with or without drive through, both shafts and housing cover are included. If traction is lost, the differential locks automatically and generates 100% traction. A big advantage of this drive axle is that NO shift servos, Bowden cables and linkage are required for the differential locks, which also benefits the clarity and the space available in the chassis. The axle components are housed in a heavy-duty, reinforced plastic axle housing and are optimally equipped for any construction site application.
To convert 2- and 3-axle tractors, the 2-speed manual transmission, the 2-speed transfer case, a driven front axle, one or two rear axles and the respective drive shaft set 4x4 or 6x6 are required.
