Portal axles not only provide greater clearance from the differential case to the ground than conventional axles, but they also have another positive feature. In conventional crawlers, the torque applies so much force that the vehicle jumps over obstacles. The design of the portal axles reduces the gear ratio at the wheels and practically eliminates the torque jolts from the drive. The overall gear reduction ratio of the axle gear is more than double that of non-portal versions to ensure smooth operation.

The CR3.4 SHERPA features a 2-speed transmission, allowing you to conquer difficult terrain and quickly reach the next obstacle. Simply press a button on the remote control to switch from a gear ratio of 1/37.1 (Low Speed) to 1/15.1 (High Speed).
Independently lock and unlock the front and rear differentials to achieve maximum performance on the track—all controlled remotely with your transmitter and 2 built-in mini servos. Keep the differential unlocked for smooth handling at high speeds. On technically challenging paths, you can lock the front differential, the rear differential, or even both to tackle extreme terrain.
An aluminum motor mount and an adjustable slipper clutch provide additional protection under extreme conditions.

The drive concept—powered by HOBBYWING—includes a 60A waterproof speed controller and a 550 motor. Set the "jumpers" to the correct position to configure your battery type (NiMH / LiPo) and driving mode (forward / reverse / brake).
A 9kg digital steering servo with metal gears and 3x 17g mini servos with 0.9kg actuation force for gear shifting and differential locking/unlocking are already installed. All servos are waterproof.
The 6-channel radio system with 2.4 GHz gives you total control over your vehicle—whether for light units, 2-speed transmission, differential locks, or adjusting the top speed.
The light unit is integrated into the vehicle's 6-channel receiver. Want to use a different 6-channel remote control without losing the lighting functions? No problem! Instructions on how to proceed can be found in the manual.
