From the golden ageThe history of Chevy trucks dates back to 1918. In the years that followed, many vehicles were developed that became icons. After the Second World War, the USA experienced a "golden age" in the 1950s and 1960s. People began to dream of ease and luxury again. In this era, building cars required a lot of attention and love down to the smallest detail during development. The Chevrolet Apache, which is still an absolute classic today, was also created during this time. And now, almost 60 years later, the Apache from FMS is a detailed RC model on a scale of 1:18 that pays tribute to the original.
Absolute ScaleThe Apache 1:18 is officially licensed by Chevrolet. That's why a true-to-scale look is one of the most important factors for this model. Numerous scale details such as the wrap-around windscreen, the hinged load floor, the classic radiator grille, the exterior mirrors and the wheel hubs make this scale model look good not only in action, but also in any showcase. The true-to-the-original look is rounded off by the functioning lighting system (headlights, indicators, tail light), which can be controlled via the remote control.
The interior of the spacious cabin also features many details, such as a true-to-scale centre console, driver's seats and a steering wheel. Simple, but classically beautiful - just like the original.
The chassisThe 1:18 Apache is equipped with a rigid ladder frame chassis. The metal chassis has been extended to accommodate the longer wheelbase and 6x6 all-wheel drive system. The powerful and waterproof metal gear servo provides precise steering. The low centre of gravity offers increased driving stability on any terrain - even in very wet terrain thanks to the waterproof electronics.
The soft rubber compound of the all-terrain tyres ensures low wear on the one hand and ideal grip on both asphalt and off-road on the other.
