The FCX18 Hummer EV from FMS is an officially licensed 1:18 scale crawler. The scaler comes ready to run right out of the box, including a 2-speed transmission, built-in electronics, integrated lighting, remote control, and battery.
100% Scale Accuracy The model is officially licensed by General Motors. Every detail is faithfully reproduced, from the original paint job and distinctive grille to the extended mirrors, door handles, windshield wipers, and roof warning lights. The controllable lighting and simulated bevel gear drives are also true to the original. The transparent windows reveal the dashboard, interior, and driver figure. The hood can be opened to provide access to the electronic components, making routine maintenance easier.
Conquers Any Terrain To faithfully replicate the off-road capability and driving behavior of the original vehicle, FMS has made significant advancements by deriving the FCX18 chassis from the FCX24 series. The FCX18 chassis features a metal frame construction with metal rails (4 pieces) and steering links (2 pieces) that are durable even under extreme conditions. The centrally mounted drivetrain has a low center of gravity and includes a 2-speed transmission, a transfer case, and a 180-sized brushed motor. Power is transmitted via a driveshaft to the front and rear axles. The axles are equipped with axle side reducers, commonly referred to as "portal axles," which increase the ground clearance of the differential gear group and improve off-road capability.
The FCX18 comes standard with a straight axle, but the planetary differential can be replaced with high-viscosity silicone oil to simulate the drive effect of an LSD (limited-slip differential). After installing the differential, the ultimate climbing ability is reduced, but a smaller turning radius and more stable handling at high speeds are achieved.
2-Speed Transmission The 2-speed transmission can be shifted via the 3rd channel of the remote control and is operated by a 9g servo. The low gear ratio is 99, providing very high torque suitable for extreme inclines. The high gear ratio is 24.75, allowing for relatively high speeds.
Built-In Electronics The waterproof electronics include a powerful brushed motor, two independent servos, a 3-in-1 receiver/ESC/light control unit, and a 2S (7.4V) 900mAh LiPo battery. The complete electronics, including synchronized light control for headlights, turn signals, and taillights, are already integrated and connected in the model, so the Hummer EV is ready to go right out of the box.
