The Quadtrack is the first 1/10th scale model from TAMIYA to feature a track drive. This type of drive is known from Arctic expedition vehicles. Now TAMIYA combines this drive with the popular Landfreeder. The robust TT-02 chassis has been modified for this purpose. Instead of wheels it now has chain drives. The tracks have a much larger contact area than wheels and therefore have more traction. The model still has a polycarbonate chassis cover and wheel wells to protect it from dirt.
The body is already cut out and painted with TAMIYA PS-5 black. The windows are factory tinted with PS-31 smoke.
The 4WD drive with central shaft, double wishbones and suspension struts on all four tracks provide best traction. The underside of the chassis is designed to be extra smooth and the battery compartment accommodates all common battery types.
