The Volkswagen Golf Mk. 1 was a veteran of the European Touring Car Racing and the car sponsored by Kamei with the conspicuous paintwork drove in the low-modification Group2 class. This famous car is available as an R/C model on the light and fun-to-drive M-05 Chsssis, which has a balanced design and a 3-part steering linkage, the car remains stable and helps to achieve high speeds through curves while remaining true to track. Even high speeds are no problem.

The M-05 chassis is the further development of the popular M-03 and M-04 series. Steering servo and speed governor are positioned in such a way that optimum weight distribution and a lower centre of gravity are achieved. In addition, 3-part adjustable steering linkage ensures precise steering response. The stable driving behaviour on fast straights and in tight bends ensures a lot of driving fun. Numerous M-03 tuning parts are compatible with the Mini Cooper's M-05 chassis, including the variable wheelbase.
The firm Tamiya is specialized in high quality RC-vehicles (cars, trucks and buggies) and one of the leading manufacturer in this genre. This japanese company is based in Shizuoka and produces detailed reproductions of coveted vehicles since 1976. "Tamiya Fighter-Cup" is the name of the annual racing series.Since 1990 the final of Germany takes place in Sonneberg.
