HMS Belfast was a light cruiser of the British Royal Navy during the Second World War. It was commissioned on 5 August 1939. At the end of November of the same year, it was excluded from service for three years due to damage from a German mine. From 1942 it covered Arctic convoys. On 26 December 1943, together with the cruisers HMS Norfolk and HMS Sheffield, she repelled attacks by the German battleship Scharnhorst, which tried to break through to the Allied convoy. The isolation of the Scharnhorst contributed to its later shooting down and subsequent sinking. HMS Belfast also took part in the attack on the German battleship Tirpitz. From June 1944 it underwent a major refit. In August 1945, it entered Sydney Harbour when it was hit at the end of the Pacific War. During 1945-1962 it served in the Far East with breaks for repairs. Participated in the Korean War. In 1971 it was in danger of being scrapped. Thanks to the active attitude of the British Society, this did not happen. It was anchored to the Thames and became a museum unit. Subsequent renovations extended its life.

In cooperation with IMW (Imperial War Museums), the model was designed from COBI building blocks in a scale of 1: 300 and faithfully reproduces the details of its historical prototype. The model is 64 cm long and 19.5 cm high. It has many moving parts such as deck guns, rotating artillery turrets, rudders and propellers. The model has been covered with high quality prints that imitate equipment and camouflage. The prints will not wear off even with intensive play. The set includes a black block stand and a white plate with the name and scale of the printed model. The plate also features the IMW (Imperial War Museums) logo. The product is a perfect gift for all lovers of history, maritime military and navy. It will look great on a desk, bookshelf or souvenir shelf.
