The Junkers JU 52 is the best-known three-engined German aircraft from the Second World War. It was designed to carry passengers and transport goods and excelled in military aviation. In the early stages of the war it was also used as an auxiliary bomber. After modifications, it towed the gliders of the landing forces. JU 52 aircraft transported numerous landing units on all war fronts. The most famous operations in which JU 52 took part were: the attack on Greece, Operation Merkur, i.e. landing on Crete, and helping Field Marshal Paulus in Stalingrad.
After the Second World War, JU 52s were still manufactured in France under the name AAC. 1 Toucan and in Spain as CASA C.352-L. Single copies are still in service today!
The model made of building blocks has many movable elements like rotating wheels with rubber tyres, movable propellers and ailerons. The opening door to the transport compartment and the cabin allows the pilot and the German paratrooper to be used in.
