The TAMIYA truck for tough construction site use! The Mercedes Benz Acros 4151 8x4 is a real heavyweight on the construction site.
TAMIYA has modified the proven chassis for this truck: The truck has 4 axles as in the original. The two rear axles are driven by a powerful 540 electric motor. The two front axles are steered by a servo (available separately). The steering angle of the two axles is different, so that a true-to-the-original driving behaviour is achieved.
The frame has a subframe to accommodate the newly designed tipping trough. The dump body has been reinforced with a metal subframe and can be controlled via the optional TAMIYA ACU-01 unit (56545).
The distinctive design of the new Arocs is as extraordinary as the truck as a whole. For example, a radiator grille in the so-called digger's tooth look has been installed in the look specially developed for construction vehicles, which is intended to convey the message: "Bite through and grab hold". In keeping with the robust appearance, special protective grilles for the lighting system are fitted to the bumper.
The 667 mm long and around 4 kg heavy kit model can be used to put together impressive combinations. Under the forward tilting cab you will find the proven and robust TAMIYA truck technology. A new Mighty-Tuned 35T electric motor delivers its power to the two rear axles via a shiftable 3-speed gearbox. A detailed aluminium ladder frame gives the model the necessary stability and flexibility.
A towing hitch (e.g. Carson 500907182) can be attached to the rear part of the frame to pull trailers.
With the optionally available multi-function unit, almost all sound and light functions of the prototype can be deceptively simulated.
The firm Tamiya is specialized in high quality RC-vehicles (cars, trucks and buggies) and one of the leading manufacturer in this genre. This japanese company is based in Shizuoka and produces detailed reproductions of coveted vehicles since 1976. "Tamiya Fighter-Cup" is the name of the annual racing series.Since 1990 the final of Germany takes place in Sonneberg.
