The TANDEM X20R and X20RS versions offer solid performance based on the dual-band RF signal connection 868M/2.4G with multiple operating combinations of RF modes and are equipped with the integrated RF module TD-ISRM RS, which supports several protocols (such as TW, TD, etc.).
The TD-ISRM RS RF module operates in dual 2.4G TW RF mode and allows the simultaneous activation of the TW and ACCESS R9 modes with the same module. In this configuration, the TW and ACCESS R9 receivers can be connected via the SBUS IN/OUT ports to create a redundant backup. This solution utilizes three different RF connections simultaneously in RC applications, increasing the reliability of the RF signal, especially in flight scenarios where long-range control is needed.
DIFFERENCES IN APPEARANCE AND FUNCTIONAL INPUTS
The X20R and X20RS have undergone visual changes compared to the original X20 design. The lower part of the grip has been adapted to the PRO version’s design, so no additional grip shells are required, and the lower part can be fully enclosed by the palm of the hand, providing a more comfortable and relaxed grip. Additionally, the external module slot has been adjusted to provide more space for external modules of varying shapes, making installation easier.
The R and RS versions feature 2 additional trims for more precise operation. The slider levers on both sides of the transmitter allow the center position of the transmitter to be adjusted to accommodate the different habits and preferences of users. The primary controls, including trim caps, sliders, and switches, are made of metal, offering robust quality and long-lasting durability for outdoor use.
IMPROVED AND MORE ROBUST ANTENNA HOLDER AND EXTERNAL LoRa ANTENNA CONNECTION
The new, improved antenna grip offers good resistance to shocks under harsh outdoor conditions. The reinforced and thickened antenna housing fits better in the hand and does not affect the antenna's performance. On the contrary, the newly designed antenna can transmit signal data more effectively, providing the pilot with more reliable flight control.
The X20R & X20RS are also equipped with 2 external antenna connectors that can be fitted with additional 2.4G and 868M antennas to enhance the RF capabilities in LoRa mode and achieve improved long-distance control.
INTEGRATED MASS STORAGE AND TEXT-TO-SPEECH FUNCTION
To spare the user from deciding on storage capacity, both the R and RS versions feature an 8GB built-in flash memory, providing ample space to meet all storage requirements of your remote control with high data transfer speed.
Thanks to the enhanced storage function, the TTS (Text-to-Speech) feature of the X20 RS versions can quickly and easily convert typed English words into spoken language. This allows the ETHOS system, upon activation of certain functions, to flexibly adjust the triggered operational state through generated voice tones and clearly warn in outdoor environments via the digital amplifier module.
BIDIRECTIONAL HAPTIC GIMBAL FEEDBACK
The gimbal vibration feedback can be easily activated or deactivated via a switch. The bidirectional gimbal vibration feedback can operate independently, allowing the configuration to be adjusted to different feedback preferences, tailored to various RC user application scenarios.
EASILY ADJUSTABLE MC20R GIMBALS (with any tilt angle between 45° and 60°)
The MC20R gimbal also features an 8° rotatable disc and can be set to a 45° position. Even better, the tilt angle is not limited to 45° and 60°. The MC20R gimbal allows adjustment to any desired angle between 45° and 60°. To increase comfort for pilots in outdoor operations, the angle position can be adjusted directly with a 1.5mm hex screwdriver through the adjustment hole on the gimbal panel without having to open the transmitter housing.
