The Spektrum™ DX5 Rugged™ 5-channel surface transmitter redefines radio control and is rugged enough to withstand the harsh conditions to which off-roaders, bashers and boaters are constantly exposed. We started with a chassis based on the outstanding ergonomic spectrum design of the popular DX5C and the competition's favorite DX5 Pro. From there, we integrated ideas for the rigors these products have to endure into the cordless power tool.

The result is a best-in-class RC system with unsurpassed durability and other innovative features, combined with a level of precision, versatility and comfort you won't want to miss.

Moulded thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) bumpers surround the radio housing to protect it against falls, bumps and even some knocks here and there. There's no external antenna to hold on to or worry about - a flat rib on the case protects the robust high-speed signal output inside. A versatile front panel protector further enhances durability and provides mounting options for user-integrated accessories such as a camera, light source or anything else. A pair of lanyard attachment points allows the operator to keep the transmitter close and gain a free hand when not driving.

An easily accessible accessory compartment allows small tools, such as a T-key, to be stored in the supplied internal holder. We've increased the water resistance of the transmitter to reassure the rider in case of an unexpected splash of water or some raindrops.

Last but not least, the steering wheel has been made even more robust in aggressive off-road style and is equipped with an innovative thumb lever to make controlling your car with one hand safer and more precise.

To conquer the wilderness, the DX5 Rugged offers 5-channel versatility and has a number of extra switches for lights, winches and more. Its interface features an innovative capacitive touch screen control panel that offers greater resistance to moisture and is easy to use.

Simply swipe your finger across the control panel and tap the easy-to-read LCD screen to select menus, options and values. Built-in telemetry and intelligent telemetry function** allows you to view important data such as engine speed, vehicle speed, battery voltage and temperature directly on the transmitter in real time.

No matter what you drive, the programming function of AVC® technology in the DX5 Rugged can be easily adjusted to your skills or driving style, giving you the feeling of driving a vehicle that behaves predictably at any speed.
