The new ABSIMA LiPo batteries represent the cutting edge of lithium battery technology and offer new levels of performance. Masterful engineering, combined with experience from professional model sports, has led to the development of a performance-optimized generation of batteries that has no equal on the track. The addition of graphene enhances the battery with improved properties such as higher energy density, lower internal resistance, higher discharge rates, and a longer lifespan.
Small Graphene LiPo Battery Customer:The ABSIMA Graphene LiPo series can be used as a standard 7.4V LiPo battery or as a high-voltage LiPo (HV) with 7.6V.
But what is the difference between the "7.4V STANDARD" and "7.6V High Voltage" capacities?
Normal LiPo batteries have a full charge voltage of 4.2 volts per cell. Due to the unique hybrid RS cell structure, the new type can handle a bit more and can be charged up to 4.35 volts. This not only leads to more power right from the start but also allows for more power in each individual cell, resulting in longer run times.
How do I charge HV LiPo batteries?First, check if your charger has a program for charging HV LiPos. It must be able to set a charge end voltage of 4.35 volts. In this case, HV LiPo batteries are charged just like regular LiPo batteries. The maximum charge rate for an ABSIMA Graphene LiPo is 5C (5 times the battery's capacity).
Important note about the charging process! After charging the HV battery, please make sure to reset the charge end voltage to 4.2V. Never charge a standard LiPo battery (7.4V) with a 4.35V charge end voltage!
Good to know:A LiPo battery should never be fully charged or discharged (3V under load / 3.5V no-load voltage) when stored. For optimal battery lifespan, it is recommended to store the LiPo battery at a charge state between 50%-80% of its capacity in a cool room (e.g., basement). A LiPo battery that is 50% charged has a cell voltage of +/- 3.85V.
HV LiPos can also be charged up to 4.2V like regular LiPos. However, due to their significantly more compact design and lower voltage drop under full load, they still provide longer runtime.
