The DSMX SRXL2 serial micro-receiver SPM4650 is based on the original SPM4648 receiver and offers more options, features and fly-by-telemetry, while further reducing the size and weight of the already super-small serial spectrum receiver. The SPM4650 uses our feature-rich SRXL2 protocol to provide pilots with lightning-fast serial data links of up to 20 channels. SRXL2 is a powerful communication protocol that enables bi-directional communication between the remote control system and the flight controller. It also provides telemetry functionality and flight controller configuration directly from the pilot's Spektrum transmitter* via a signal line. Small, lightweight and customizable, the SPM4650 is an excellent receiver for the smallest applications. It also features a tie button, so pilots no longer need a separate receiver or tie plug for tying. Dual antennas provide reception diversity and a stable signal. In demanding applications where carbon fiber, metal and battery shielding is required, the long coaxial antennas can be perfectly routed for maximum signal strength. Using the Spektrum DSMX 2.4GHz RF protocol, the Spektrum SRXL2 Serial Micro Receiver provides remarkable range and interference-free performance.
SRXL2 Technology
The next iteration of Spektrum SRXL technology is here! The SRXL2 technology is a communication protocol between receiver and electronic module, such as multi-rotor flight controllers, helicopter flybarless systems and other receivers. SRXL2 is faster, richer in data and more secure. It also enables support for bi-directional telemetry, giving users more access to telemetry functions from their devices, and even allows setup and configuration directly from your transmitter. No computer or smart device required! * Want to learn more about SRXL2? Visit the SRXL2 Homepage.
* Please note that SRXL2 is not backward compatible with the SRXL protocol.
Small, lightweight, and perfect for your homemade needs.
The SPM4650 weighs only 1.4 grams and is smaller than any other serial spectrum receiver. It can be built into most multirotor and helicopter designs - almost regardless of space constraints. The receiver is supplied without a plug to help enthusiasts reduce weight and cable clutter. Simply connect the cables directly to the board or mount the connector and use the supplied cable to connect the SPM4650 to a compatible flight controller.
Fly-By-Telemetry
Fly-by telemetry is a low range telemetry signal that allows you to perfectly check the telemetry data before and after a flight. SRXL2 technology gives users even more support for telemetry data and transmitter-to-flight controller programming via Forward Programming, VTX Setup, and/or Text Gen Programming.
Wide input voltage range
With an operating voltage range between 3.3 V and 8.4 V, users are no longer limited to what devices they can use to operate their serial receiver, as the limited voltage range no longer applies.
Dual Diversity Antennas
The SPM4650 uses an advanced antenna diversity system that provides optimal range, RF performance and polarization. The whole is combined with 2 long coaxial antennas that are perfect for FPV, multirotor and helicopter pilots with metal and carbon fiber models.
binding button for easy binding installed
No binding plug? No problem. The SPM4650 is the most relaxed serial spectrum receiver to date - simply press the bind button before or after power is turned on and the SPM4650 is in bind mode. And like other serial spectrum receivers, users can bind using a supported flight controller and computer, but there's no need to turn the unit off and on again!
Spektrum is a brand from the American company Horizon Hobby. "Spektrum" is a RC Radio System revolutionizing the 2,4 GHZ RC industry. With Spektrum, Horizon Hobby was one of the first companies worldwide to offer the 2,4 GHZ technology and telemetry. Today, Spektrum is widely known as one of the best on the market in RC Radio Systems. Many Horizon Hobby models can be instantly connected with Spektrum remotes via BNF (Bind and Fly) such as Blade, E-flite, Hangar 9, hobbyzone, parkzone, or Vaterra products.
