2-component foam resin: PU rigid foam + PU hardener 1000

PU foam produces a closed-cell rigid polyurethane foam and therefore has a very low water absorption capacity. It is therefore particularly suitable for foaming cavities in the boat and automotive sectors, but also for other sandwich constructions and for heat and cold insulation.

• Starting time: approx. 42 seconds
• Setting time: approx. 145 seconds

• Maximum application temperature of the cured foam: 80 °C

• Average density of the molded part (DIN EN ISO 845): 50 kg/m³
• Compressive strength (DIN 53421): 0.22 N/mm²
• Water absorption capacity (50 mm, 23 °C, 24 h; DIN 53495): 0.80 vol.-%.

Processing:
A maximum of 40 seconds is available for mixing components A + B. As soon as the mixture starts to react (foam), stirring must be stopped, otherwise the foam structure will be destroyed. The cured foam then loses its compressive strength and becomes brittle.

Stir the PU rigid foam before use. Do not process both components below 18 °C.

Storage:
Recommended storage temperature: 15 - 25 °C, then shelf life 6 months. The containers must be protected from direct sunlight.
