Tearaway fabrice has long been known from aircraft construction. The canvas fabric, made of washed polyamide 6.6 (nylon), is inserted as the last layer in an epoxy or polyester resin laminate. After curing or before bonding the parts, the peel ply is peeled off ("torn"). It leaves a uniformly rough, smear film-free, bondable surface. Universal for epoxy, vinyl ester and polyester resins.
