Description "COBI Prinz Eugen Schwerer Kreuzer (1790 PCS.) Clamping bricks"
The heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen was commissioned in 1940 and was the only large German ship to survive the war! In May 1941, it accompanied the battleship Bismarck in Operation Rhine Exercise, where it engaged in a battle with and sank the British ships Hood and Prince of Wales. Damaged by the Prince of Wales, it was repaired and bombed by the Allies in the process. In February 1942, together with the battleships Scharnhorst and Gneisenau, it took part in Operation Cerberus, aimed at the passage of large Kriegsmarine ships from France to Germany.
In 1942-1943, she served mainly in the Baltic Sea as a training ship. From October 1944 to April 1945, he supported German troops fighting in Courland and then East Prussia. On 8 April 1945, it went to Copenhagen, where it was handed over to the British in May 1945. In December 1945, the ship was taken over by the Americans, who used it for nuclear weapons testing at Bikini Atoll in 1946. The ship suffered only minor damage, was later towed away and sank. It is currently partially submerged on Kwajalein Atoll.
Use the COBI building blocks to build a model of the famous German heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen. The model was designed in 1: 300 scale. The set consists of up to 1790 blocks and offers many hours of exciting construction and fun. The high quality prints used accurately reproduce the painting of the hull and details of the WWII ship.
